Role Overview
You will lead QA/QC activities for all electrical and power systems, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved methods. You will conduct inspections, audits, and surveillance, manage quality documentation, oversee testing and commissioning readiness, and support phased energization handovers. You will identify non-conformances, track NCRs, and collaborate with construction, commissioning, and client teams to maintain quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Implementing and managing QA/QC plans for Electrical & Power systems
Conducting inspections, audits, and routine quality surveillance
Reviewing and approving Electrical ITPs, check sheets, and test procedures
Overseeing installation quality for MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, earthing, cabling, and terminations
Ensuring correct installation, labeling, and system identification
Supporting FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, and energization readiness
Maintaining full traceability of materials, test reports, and as-built documentation
Identifying defects, managing NCRs, and supporting snag resolution
Ensuring QA activities comply with HSE requirements and promoting a quality-driven, safety-first culture
Reporting on quality status and metrics to project leadership and coordinating with stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
Degree / HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
QA/QC experience on Electrical & Power systems in large-scale projects
Knowledge of electrical standards, testing, and commissioning processes
Experience with fast-track, phased energization projects
Strong documentation, inspection, and reporting skills
Familiarity with digital QA/QC platforms and client commissioning processes
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Desirable: ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, CQI/IRCA certification, CSCS / Safe Pass
