Automation & BMS/EMS Engineer

GE HealthCare seeks an experienced Automation and BMS/EMS Engineer to maintain and optimize Siemens/Rockwell PLC systems and Honeywell building automation platforms within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Oslo. The role demands strong expertise in cleanroom compliance, data integrity, and system validation in a GxP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and troubleshoot Siemens and Rockwell PLCs and HMIs on manufacturing equipment
• Operate and configure Honeywell EBI systems; oversee validated FMS for environmental parameter tracking
• Ensure automation activities and data storage comply with GxP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
• Author, review, and execute IQ/OQ protocols for software, hardware, and FMS sensor upgrades
• Serve as technical liaison with vendors and internal quality teams; document system deviations and CAPAs

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7 and Rockwell Studio 5000/FactoryTalk platforms
• Direct hands-on experience administering Honeywell EBI and validated Facility Monitoring Systems
• Minimum 5-7 years engineering experience in validated pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturing
• Thorough understanding of GxP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity principles
• Native or professional fluency in Norwegian (B2/C1 minimum); professional English proficiency
• Strong analytical problem-solving capability for complex system diagnostics
